For 2022, Quebec has invited the most candidates it has ever received. Candidates for provincial immigration programs have received invitations to apply from Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia this week.

With the exception of Quebec and Nunavut, the majority of Canadian provinces and territories run their own provincial nomination programs. Interested candidates may receive invitations from these programs to submit an application for a provincial nomination.

The immigration policies of Quebec are different from those of Canada and are handled by the province.

Since its inception in 1998, the PNP has gained a great deal of notoriety and now handles more than 80,000 PR admissions annually. The federal and provincial governments of Canada have increased the number of PNP admissions because they see it as a useful tool for advancing the nation's economic development.

Provincial nomination can serve as the initial step toward obtaining permanent residence from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, despite the fact that it is not the same as one in and of itself (IRCC).

Quebec

On September 8, 2022, Quebec asked 1,202 qualified workers to submit applications for permanent selection. The Arrima Expression of Interest system's tenth and largest draw will take place in 2022. Quebec normally waits for one to two weeks before announcing the results of a draw.

Invitations were sent out by the Ministry of Immigration, Refugee and Integration (MIFI) to immigrants who submitted applications through the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (QSWP).

Candidates had to have Arrima Expression of Interest profiles with minimum scores of 620.

Those who get an invitation from Quebec to apply for permanent selection have up to 60 days to complete their applications and payment processing fees. Beginning on the day when all necessary information is obtained, Quebec plans to process complete applications in six months. This refers to all paperwork and forms.

Candidates will receive a Certificate de selection du Québec if they are chosen (CSQ or Quebec Selection Certificate). They can then submit an application for permanent residency to the Canadian federal government using this document.
