Saskatchewan has one of the nation's fastest-expanding economies and populations. One of Western Canada's Prairie Provinces is Saskatchewan. A major part of its economy is agriculture as well as forestry and fishing.  Saskatchewan has two of its biggest cities, Saskatoon and Regina, and it is also home to vast natural areas.

Immigration is quite successful in Saskatchewan. Approximately 3,000 to 4,000 immigrants arrive in the province every year. It has since increased to 15,000 people. This achievement is all the more impressive considering Saskatchewan's population of just over 1 million. The province is one of the most popular immigration destinations in Canada.

There are four different Saskatchewan immigration streams from which you can choose if you want to move there:

  • International Skilled Worker Category
  • Saskatchewan Experience Category
  • Entrepreneur and Farm Category
  • International Graduate Entrepreneur Category

Professionals from abroad who want to work and live in Saskatchewan fall into this category.

International graduates and foreign workers with valid work permits living in Saskatchewan can apply for the Saskatchewan Experience Category.

The Entrepreneur and Farm Category is designed for people who want to own and operate a business or farm in Saskatchewan.

How Saskatchewan PNP works?

Saskatchewan employs an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Occupations In-Demand and Express Entry subcategories.

On the SINP Apply Online portal, where a form must be completed, you must first register your EOI. Your eligibility will be determined by your responses to the application.

You must receive at least 60 out of a possible 110 points on the EOI Points Grid to be eligible to join the EOI pool. Your evaluation by the EOI Points Grid is based on five criteria: age, ties to the Saskatchewan labour market, education and training, skilled work experience, language proficiency, and flexibility.

You will be given the opportunity to apply at an EOI draw if you are chosen.

You can now utilize the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program to submit an application for a provincial nomination (SINP). You can access the same portal to do this.

You can apply immediately without registering an EOI if you have a job offer and you're applying through the Employment Offer sub-category.

You can then apply directly to IRCC for permanent residence following the approval of your application. The specifics of your nomination will be entered into the system by Saskatchewan if you are applying through the Express Entry sub-category. As a result, you will receive 600 more Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, virtually ensuring that you will be invited to apply for permanent residence in the upcoming Express Entry draw.
