The Canada immigration authority has announced Express Entry Program in the year 2015. Since then, they are continuously making improvements in the system. The authority has initiated changes such as, additional CRS for siblings in Canada, Job offer letter from a Canadian employer, perks for Canadian education, etc.

In light of these changes, this is how Express Entry has improved following these changes in 2016:

  • Core Human Capital Factors are Clear Winners

Core Human Capital Factors are Age, Education, Work experience and language proficiency. Under FSWP (Federal Skilled Worker Program), many candidates have got their ITAs based on these core human capital factors only.

Saying that FSWP is the most popular category today, is verity in the world of Canada immigration. Before the changes, however, FSW stood for only 25 percent of total applications.

  • No Mandate on Job offer Amplified

Under Express Entry, there is no need to mandatorily have Job offer letter. If you, get one, however, extra CRS is claimable. No Job worry earlier used to bug the candidates which is now, not there. During the first quarter of 2017, it has been reported that 90% of applicants who got their ITAs, were not having a Job offer letter.

  • Betterment of Provinces

Under the changes initiated in 2016, a huge CRS of 600 points are now allotted to a candidate having nomination from any Province in Canada. Thus, candidates are now preferring nomination.

Provinces nominates those candidates who are meeting the respective eligibility criteria laid down by that particular province.

This ultimately is benefiting provinces, who are looking for skilled workers to meet the labour shortages.

  • Canadian Education, an Extra Piece of Cake!

After the changes, those candidates who are having Canadian education, can claim up to 50 extra CRS. Having education in Canada adds to your Adaptability factor and therefore, extra points are allotted to those who have invested for their Canadian degrees.

  • Large Chunk of ITAs bagged by Indian Applicants

After the changes have been initiated, Indians have been benefitted the most. Indians holds the rank 1 position in getting ITAs followed by China and Nigeria. ITAs for United Stated and United Kingdoms can be announced ‘declined’ after the changes.

  • Time Extension Provided Relief

After getting ITA, a candidate is expected to apply for PR visa and do relevant documentation within 90 days. Earlier this time limit was 60 days. Due to lack of time, candidates usually missed on the deadline. Therefore, extension of time has been a great relief for Canada Express Entry applicants. If you are looking for Canada PR and want to start your process without any delay, then get in touch with Aptech visa’s immigration experts over our toll free number 18001201602
