Most visa application costs and taxes will increase as of July 31, 2022. The cost of affected New Zealand immigration services has increased on average by about $81 (43%) (eTA, Electronic Travel Authority excluded), with  New Zealand  Permanent residency class visas seeing the biggest price rises.

The fees are still competitive with those of comparable nations, and the government has subsidized the cost of particular visas in order to acknowledge New Zealand's unique relationship with its Pacific neighbors.
