The month of April has been a great month for Immigration applicants of Express Entry, Canada. Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC) issued 7,000 Invitations To Apply (ITAs) to Express Entry candidates in consecutive draws with CRS 444 (11th April) and 441 (25th April).

These draws followed the same number of invites i.e., 3,500 each. From now onwards, Express Entry draws will be conducted with pre-fixed number of applications only.

Reasons for the change

The change comes with flexibility of choosing the number of ITAs CIC wishes to deliver. Since Express Entry Draws are cut-off based, there used to be no fixed number applicants intakes. Thus, to maintain a control and for a fine-tuned selection of skilled applicants from the pool, this change, in addition to tie-breaker rule has been implemented.

A Tie-breaker rules allows ITAs to older Express Entry profiles first, provided they are having CRS within Cut-off limit of the draw.

What candidates must expect from the change?

The candidates can expect a faster immigration to Canada!

With 7,000 ITAs issued in just 2 rounds of invites, it can be counted as a positive signal towards future tendency of selection.

To get selected, the candidate must ensure that he/she is having a good and superior Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS). The latest Express Entry Draws are below 450.
