What is the Qualifying Score of IELTS/CELPIP for PR in Canada?

Both IELTS and CELPIP are the English Language Test formats acceptable for applying Canadian Permanent Residence. The English requirement is the basic factor along with other immigration factors that include age, educational qualification, work experience, language ability and adaptability factors.

IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System (IELTS) that checks the English Language of the test taker in four factors namely reading, writing, listening and speaking. To apply for Canada PR, you may migrate with lowest IELTS score as well.

Though, the IELTS lowest Canada PR requirement is applicable for Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). The program allows applicants to apply with CLB 5 for Canada PR.

CELPIP is known as Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program is a computer based test that assesses the language abilities of the applicants applying for Canadian Permanent Residence. The factors of English language assessment are similar to IELTS- Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. The test ranks applicant on the scale of 1 to 12 in each section.
