Canada Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) are immigration programs to Canada that are gaining momentum with the passing time. These Programs are run by Provincial governments of Canada for inviting (through nominations) skilled individuals in demand locally (in provinces of Canada).

PNPs are running actively in 2018 and following is the report card of top Provincial Nomination Programs that ran wonderfully well and issued maximum invitations to candidates.

Ontario

Being the most popular PNP lately, it is not a matter of marvel that Ontario in its first quarter has been ‘Busiest’ among all.

Ontario Immigration has 10 immigration streams in total.

On the top is the Human Capital Priority Stream (HCPS) which held 7 rounds of invitations, inviting 2,587 candidates in total.

HCP stream is an Express Entry aligned stream and is extremely popular among Canada Immigration aspirants. Two other streams which are Express Entry aligned are French-Speaking Skilled worker stream and Express Entry Skills Trade Stream which issued 261 and 333 NOIs in this quarter, respectively.

British Columbia

BC PNP invited applicants under its streams named Express Entry, Skills Immigration and Entrepreneur.

Other than these, through its Tech Pilot initiatives, six draws have been conducted in 2018, so far. The Tech Pilot Program acts a ‘backbone’ to technology sector of the province.

All in all through various streams, British Columbia invited 2,034 candidates to apply for Permanent Resident Visa.

Saskatchewan

The province of Saskatchewan has a popular nominee program abbreviately known as SINP.

SINP has its Express Entry aligned Stream which actively holds draws to invited skilled candidates.

In the past quarter of 2018, Saskatchewan’s International Skilled Worker- Express Entry sub-category issued 400 fresh applications which immediately reached its intake limit within 24 hours.

You can thus, estimate the popularity of this program.

The Express Entry stream of Saskatchewan does not require a Job offer letter and this could possibly be the reason for preference.

Manitoba

Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program, MPNP held four rounds of invitations and took candidates from its Expression of Interest (EOI) pool, three out of which are conducted through its Express Entry Streams.

Overall Manitoba issued 777 LAAs (Letter of Advice to Apply) to applicants in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream and additional 623 LAAs to applicants in its Skilled Workers Overseas Stream.

Two other Atlantic Provinces Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick also performed to the best of their propensities. While Prince Edward Island issued 131 invitations to candidates with a Job offer letter, New Brunswick also opened its Express Entry Labour Market stream once for a brief time.
